Sassy's Prognosis/Work

Hey Everyone,

I took Sassy to the vet and the good news is that the damage isn't permanent yet....  she could have a full recovery from this lil fracture she's got as long as she takes it easy, takes her inflmatory pills and dosn't get joslted really bad like jumping from a high place or to hard etc.  However, if she does it could result in parcial or even full paralysis!  :( I hope that dosen't happen she loves to be outside, but if she can't walk we'll have to keep her locked up indoors so other animals won't go after her.  I have to keep her locked into my room for a few days.  Some more good news is that she's eating a lil bit and walking, yes walking slowly and tenderly, but she's walking lol.

Work today was interesting.  A whole new batch a kids even a few from last week came back..even Trevor a stubborn LITTLE boy who cant' swim and is under 5ft and likes to try and go into the 5ft wich is over his head and he can't swim...oy...  Well today he was playing a new sport...throwing anything he could get his lil hands on...diving rings, kick boards, balls etc right into the pool not watching where he was throwing them.  I guess he was trying to see how far he could throw them or if he could hit somebody with them.  I asked him time, and time again not to do that cause he could hurt someone.  He seemed to understand, but then a few mins later he was at it again.  So I went and told one of the Senior guy counselors and let them deal with the lil rascal lol.

There wasn't to much swimming done though because it kept thundering  and since sharon wasn't there today she was on a hike.  Her daughter's were in charge and they made everyone get out of the pool, and stay out untill it had been 10 mins since the thunder had sounded.  Then as soon as they would get ready to blow the whistle to let everyone back in.  It would start to thunder again!

The kids were gettin so mad because it was extremely hot and humid outside...they were drenched in sweat whithen 2 mins of being out of the pool.  It was torture, but they finnaly left, deciding to try back later.  Then the other group came up and it was still thundering so they had to wait around outside the fence hoping it would stop ya know.  It did after a pretty long while and didn't start back up so everyone came up to the pool to swim.  There were way more kids then last week.  I dunno how many where there last week, but this week has 50 something campers....that's alot of munchkins lol.

VBS was alot of fun tonight.  We got to lay around on sleeping bags durring the lessons and see pictures of canada that our teacher took when he went caribou hunting a couple of years ago.  The theme for tonight was Chicago the Windy City so we had lil  bitty pizzas for snacks and watched a lil movie about Missionairies in Chicago and what they do and stuff.  We also played some games and made a craft.  It was alot of fun.  Well that's all for tonight*hugs and muahs* Byess

Love,

~Star~
