Hey Everyone,
The Military Ball was really amazing. When I arrived Steven came up to the car to help me out and to mee my mom. Then we walked into the school lobby to sign up for pictures and fill out information on what package we wanted. We had picks of Steven his Sister and myself. Then We had pics taken of just be and Steven Together. Then I had a picture taken of just myself. The back ground was really pretty like a park sceen with a city scape in the back ground and stars in the sky hehe. Everyone really loved my dress and said I looked very pretty. I even had ppl tell me they didn't even recognize me witch was my goal lol.
We stood around and waited while everyone was having pictures made, my feet started to hurt so bad and it was really hot outside because of the sun and it was hot inside because of all the ppl waiting around in the picture line. Then finaly at 7 we lined up 2 by 2 and our dates escorted us up the steps we signed in so they could have a record of all who came . Then they introduced us the the important ppl there. Like the ones in charge of the rotc and the ball and stuff. Then we went and sat down.
The color gaurd were called to present the colors. Then the Senior rotc members were called to the front as kind of a last formal fare well and to introduce them to everyone the guessts and parents that came etc. After that We were dismissed table by table to eat at the buffet wich was really cool it had fruit and veggie platters. Different dips for both. Chicken, beanie weenies, and stew. And varrous other hand foods ya know and desserts. It was all delicious, and very calming from the heat outside and sitting down able to rest our sore feet lol.
Then there were some speeches and awards presented and the guesst Speaker was Mr. Bo Watson. It was a very nice speech lots of funny parts in it. Then we prayed and had the color guard retire the colors. Then we were dissmissed to the Rotc room for the dance. I didn't recognize the place...they put black plastic everywhere to make it nice and dark. Down the stairs and into the lil halway before the room they hung long strands of white christmas lights and at the end strips of black material hung from the door way to kind of hide the view of the room.
When I walked in I was very surprised because there were 2 disco balls with lots of differnt colored lights reflecting from them, and some other light decorations were set up that moved to the beat of the music wich was playing from several different speakers in the corners. They were turned up very loud lol. There was a dis-jockey playing the music he was very funny lol..
Everyone danced and ate at the buffet wich was brought to a room accros the hall from the rotc room. And we sat around and talked and stuff. But I wasn't having a good a time as I should have been being because the way the salon did my hair was very painful because they pulled back lil sections of hair and twisted them into lil rolls and then put bobby pins in to hold them in place then used a curling iron to add some curls to the hair that fell out of the twists in back of my head. Then added lil spirals around my face to fram it. And my hair in general was pulled and twisted very tightly and it was giving me a bad headache and my feet were still very sore from standing around in my heels for so long even though I took them off before I went in to the rotc room.
My hair looked very pretty, but it was giving me such a bad headache I had to call mom and dad to come get me at like 10 something and the ball was suppose to last until 12. I felt realy bad about leaving Steven so early ya know, but my head was hurting so much I was about to start crying. He understood and shook my hand and said he'd see me on Monday and thanked me for going with him.
Then I went outside into the cool air and away from the loud music to wait for them. When I got home mom helped me undress then took the bobby pins out of my hair..that hurt so much. Then I soaked in a hot tubb to relax my muscles and loosen the hair spray in my hair. After that I towel dried my hair and went to bed. Then today I stayed home form church because my legs and feet were so sore from those shoes and all the dancing and stuff. Well g2g for now getting another headache and I'm hungry haven't eatin all day. *Hugs and muahs* Bye
