Home II (the Sequel)

Yesterday evening we got back from my sister Janet's lodge/resort Trinity Canyon Lodge.  What a fantastic place.  Lots of great cabins, motel rooms, beach front boat launches and I could go on for hours (I took many many pictures).  I am very proud of Janet.

My youngest sister Jen came home for the week too.  I think it's been 3 years since the last time I saw her and it was great.  I love her so much.  Probably because I spent so much time with her when she was a baby.

At first I only wanted to stay 2 nights but that wasn't enough so we extended it to 4 days.  Since she intentionally didn't book any other people during our stay, we had the whole place to ourselves.  Since there was nobody else around except for family, I went nude for all except about 12 hours the whole time there.  It did wonders for my hives.

We didn't get to see any wild life but we did hear a bear in the trees next to the river we were rafting down.  At one point Janet yelled "snake!" but it turned out to be a large gray squirrel swimming across the river.  I've never considered the fact that squirrels can swim.

I was hoping to take video and stills of rafting but Emily warned me that everything would get wet.  The only thing that got wet was my butt and that was from the water in my water slippers.  For our duration on the river, there were only class 1 and maybe class 2 rapids.

My father lives there so I saw him too.  It confirmed my suspicion that IQ points come from the egg and not the sperm.  That's all I have to say about that.

Jennifer, Ben and I left just after noon and got back into Willits around 5:30 pm.  I was invited to dinner with Michelle and Allan last Sunday so I made good on it.  Their kids are very well behaved.  While there I also saw my friend Mary, now a grandma many times over.  I absolutely adore her.  After dinner we watches the Disney movie "Snow Dogs." I recommend it to anyone with kids.

Tonight Bob, Carol and DeeDee are coming over for a steak BBQ on the back patio.

Tomorrow morning I catch a flight back to Phoenix.  Yuck.
