Amber's Abode

Half a year at Sunny Pastures

I know some people are expecting me to say something about the fact that I have now been here six months and a day or two.  But remarkably, there doesn't seem to be much worth remarking about.  :-).

Granted, I still go through days where I'm thinking just get me out of here, I don't care where.  But all in all, when I am clear, I'm able to see that I have a pretty okay set up for now.  I have my computer and the Internet and my phone.  I have people that actually take care of me most of time, food, minimal pain, close proximity to my local best friend and a transit center, and the ability to go out whenever I want.  The last freedom especially would not exist in the adult foster care world.  So I have decided to stay here until I know that I will be happy with everything in the place I will end up.

I get another massage on Wednesday, thanks to a loan payback.  I'm so happy and excited.  Also got paid for the laptop, and hear rumors about a somewhat large refund from this place, because a couple of times the bill was paid privately, and now the government pays for me, so they think they owe me that amount back.  I'm not complaining.  But I'll believe it when I see it.  It would be really nice, as I was down under $20 in the account for a day or so, and did not like the resulting feeling of claustrophobic panic at all.

In poker news, I made the points last Wednesday.  20 points, which is like 14th place.  It's a good start for the beginning of the month, and nothing to sneeze at for a new player.  Now, I can go on Mondays as well, because I switched my showers to the morning.  Which will actually make all kinds of things easier.

I've been really weak and tired for the past week, though, with no outward reason.  I'm beginning to wonder about sleep apnea, which is actually fairly common among people with CP.  I will talk to the doctor tomorrow.

Time to go see what they are serving at Sunny Pastures Café.  I will definitely call the bet that it is nothing that will return my appetite.  :-).
