Writing a bio about myself is much more difficult than I thought it would be. I can be cheesy, or boastful, or even humble. Or I can write one that reads like a resume, which is sort of the way I am anyway, being that I have spent a good part of my life as a technical writer, editor, and proofreader. Meaning that my work can be short, sweet, and to the point. Though this bio is anything but.
And though I am still short and to the point, the other item is less so. I attribute this new trait to age. Being in my 60s is nothing like what was described in the brochure.
I was born and raised in CA, then moved to TX the summer I turned 19. There I managed to not screw my life up too much; though, marrying Yahoo #1 was considered by many to be a major screw-up. Yahoo #2 was a close 2nd. I am on my 3rd marriage, though this guy is not a Yahoo. Third time's the charm!
There is my husband, Dave, whom I call The Mr., and our son, Alex, whom I call The Kid. One drives me nuts; the other does not.
There are other things that I can say about myself, but I am going to let my writing do the talking. Though, if someone wants to know anything all they need to do is ask.
