Jumping Rainbows

24 hours...

Have any of you ever stopped to think about who you would spend an entire 24 hours with if you could spend it with anyone...living or passed?  Have you ever thought about what you would be doing together?  For about three years now, I've been able to answer both of those questions, without hesitation!  Somewhat surprizingly though, neither of those questions have ever been asked of me.  More surprizingly is the fact that I've never felt compelled to write about them.  That is, until I read this earlier today...

The above piece was written about someone I don't know, and probably never will.  However, it was the title alone that captivated my attention, and got me to thinking about the fact that it was time for me to answer these two questions, and when I did, I wanted the whole world to be able to access it regardless of ability or disability.  So, without further ado, here's how I would spend that precious, precious 24 hours...
They would be spent with Chandler.  Now, that in itself doesn't surprise a lot of you, I'm sure.  However, what may surprise you is what we would be doing during those 24 hours.  Ever since I met him, he has been the biggest pro wrestling fanatic of anyone I've ever known!  There's pretty much nothing he can't tell you about wrestling, and its history.  For a short time after I moved in, I'll admit that I was incredibly bored by the prospect of two people throwing each other against a mat, pinning their shoulders to that mat, and counting to three.  I really truly saw no point.  As I watched it more and more though, I realized that for the people who really truly love the business like Chandler does, it goes much, much, much, much, much deeper than just two people throwing each other down on a mat, and getting the all-important three count.  There is so much history in this business, that it's incredible!  What's more incredible than that though is the way his face lights up when he has his head completely wrapped around what's going on in a particular match.

For example, Wrestlemania is the Super Bowl of the professional wrestling world.  It happens every year, once a year, and there isn't a single year that I've lived here that Chandler hasn't gotten it, and not commentated every single match during the show.  By the time it's all said and done, he may be completely out of breath, and halfway out of his chair from his spasticity, but the grin on his face is absolutely priceless, and if for some reason we ran out of electricity directly following Wrestlemania, I am almost 100% positive that his grin could light up a room for at least four hours after the pay-per-view ended!
Although his passion for the wrestling world is my favorite part of being a part of that part of his life, I also enjoy the history of wrestling very, very, very much!  He has the WWE 24/7 on demand package, and each week four different wrestling legends gather around a round table, and pick one issue in the history of wrestling to discuss for that week.  Along with the discussion, they include video clips that are prevalent.  It's absolutely amazing to see how some of these superstars have changed over the course of the their careers.  Also, it's incredibly fun to know where some of the wrestling moves that I love originated from.  95% of these guys (speaking of the wrestlers) love what they do, and I'm positive that there are some of them that will not quit wrestling until they are pretty much dragged out of the arena by senior staff.
You know, when I first moved in here and started watching wrestling, Chandler made the comment to me that you either love the business, or you don't.  With this, there is no grayscale.  After over three years, I can tell you that although my passion will never run quite as deep as Chandler's does, there is no doubt that I now have a passion for it!
So there you have it, that's how I would spend an entire 24 hours, and who I would spend it with.  Now, what about you?
