One of my favorite personal blogs to read is North Texas Drifter, penned by science fiction author Thomas C. Stone. He is a very prolific blogger on subjects including physics, biology, history, politics, music, religion, conspiracy theories, etc. His science related posts are always of interest to me. A couple years ago he was nice enough to give me a free copy of one of his books but I enjoyed it so much I bought a copy anyway just to support his efforts. Go team Capitalism!
The first book of his I read was "To The Stars", which is a freebie at Amazon. To be honest, it did start off reading a bit "clunky" but by the middle of the book it flowed quite nicely. It reminded me of the Heinlein's Juvenal series of books that I read over and over as a teen.
