Just my place to write without any delusions of self-importance.

Naked again.

For the first time in almost a year and a half I went to the resort.  Cathy invited me to come back and I decided to take her up on it.  Of course I didn't tell her that, I just showed up and surprised her.  Since I had paid for a full year membership last year and didn't use a day of it the owners gave me a big discount, which was nice of them because they really weren't obligated to do anything.

The overwhelming thought of the day:  Nothing feels better than warm sun on a naked body on a nice fall day.  Thank you Cathy (and Fred too.)

Everything looked mostly the same but there are a ton of improvements too.  The new volleyball only pool is now heated and there is a new hot tub that is gimp friendly :)

It was nice seeing Jim again.  He's always great to talk to.  I saw Maxine too.  We don't really "talk" talk but she's a nice lady and it's just nice to know she's there and well.  It was even nice to see, well, I don't want to give his name so I will just call him "Mr.  Grrrrrrrr."  I must have impregnated his unwed daughter in a past life because he appears to hate me with a vengeance.  He's highly conversant and funny with everyone but if I so much as give a hello, he makes it very clear that I am dog poop on toast.  I still smiled and said hello and was instantly greeted with a grunt and a head turned away.  I can't help having a disability and obviously he can't either.  That's what I think it is.  It's interesting to watch.

I also saw someone else who wanted to bring up some new gossip about my old friends, but I was able to deflect it with a polite "I hope they're doing well and I wish them the best" and that ended it right there.  The thing is, I really do wish them well.  I miss them, but it's just not meant to be.

So anyway, while there I did my old usual.  Talked to people while watching volleyball and read a new book at the hot tub.  At one point a ball zeroed in on my 2 liter mug of Diet Pepsi and that was the end of it.  Soda carnage everywhere.

To add an interesting end to the day, on my way back home a car came around the freeway on-ramp way too fast, tried to pass me on the inside and careened into the guard wall while doing at least 80.  The first impact slowed him just enough to where he didn't broadside me as he bounced back.  He bounced off the walls 3 times before spinning out of control.  That too was interesting.

Oh, lest I forget, I gave Cathy this rock
