The Reality of Cystic Fibrosis by Brian Adkins

We can't live forever so we die slow, still we leave behind a legacy for all to know.
Capturing the pain in which the world bestowed upon us, Scared to love so we're trapped within ourselves.  From birth they prepared our ditches saying we couldn't live,
And the thing we have is pain to give.

Living with CF cursed by and illness,
Suffering for the rest of our days
We wonder what's left.

Left with sweat tests and portable IV pumps, Isolation masks, protecting yourself is a must.
Struggling to breath in this predicament you can't believe, Slowly we achieve but eventually we become deceased.  The pain in your eyes barely holding on,
God called you home but your name still lives on.

Living with CF cursed by and illness,
Suffering for the rest of our days
We wonder what's left.

Losing your every friend, the ones you've shared the pains together.
Relating to your illness because they knew it better.  Shedding tears, your face scared with fear
Just another victim to the madness, being no longer here.

So we live our lives before it comes after,
Cry Later, but for now lets enjoy the laughter.
