Been sick this week, it started out as just bad allergies over the weekend then turned into a full fledged CF Cold. A CF cold is different I would think from a normal cold because a CF patient always has tons of mucus in the longs and always coughing to clear it out. When sick it feels like you have like oat meal floating around in ya lungs. YOu can feel it move when you take deep breaths and when you cough thick ropes of green mucus come up and it drains your energy getting the junk out be you never seem to get it all out it's like you are drowning in the fluids in your lungs. Your throat turns raw from all the coughing and throat clearing you have to do plus all the inhaled medications to break up the mucus so it comes out instead of getting congested wich leads to Pneumonia etc.
I've been dealing with the full cold since yesterday and it was pouring elephants and rhino's yesterday so I was achey from the weather and the cold so I pretty much stayed in bed and watched movies and listened to books on my IPOD. And even though I was sick my dad had the nerve to ask me to do some adding over 600 something items together to figure out what the total cost was. He was nice enough however to bring me a nice calculator that puts out what you type in on a receipt that comes out at the top to make keeping up with what I entered and didn't easier but it still look a long time. I started a movie when I began doing the adding and when I finished I saw that I was already an hour and a half into the movie! So then I was stiff necked and had a headache to add to the other wonderful symptoms of my cold. But to make it up to me he bought us Subway instead of making me cook and picked up a prescription for me since mom wants me outside as little as possible till this clears up.
In a way I'm very glad I"m sick this week instead of next week because next week is the Dayton, TN Strawberry Festival and I want to be able to go to the craft tables and food vendors and have some fun on Friday, then on Saturday during the parade I'm gona set up in front of my grandparents church which is at a location tons of ppl go to to watch the parade and face paint for whatever money they will give me. I did this last year and made a little over 60 dollars I think. So I don't want to be sick next week.
My cats kept my company in my room fighting over who got to lay closest to my hands for petting lol but it was nice that they kept me such good company. When my mom got home she was sick too so she sat in my room and ate with me while we finished the movie I had been watching. That I really enjoyed because she's usually to tired to watch movies because of her job and her legs bothering her etc. I'm feeling better today still coughing up ropes of crap but it's sunny outside and the weather is nice so I"m not as achey as I was yesterday.
I hope I'm on the mend since I"m feeling better today butt we'll see. My boss called a lil while ago to tell me there's nothing scheduled for the rest of the week, he didn't know I was sick was gona tell him today when I called him later. So that works in my favor and gives me time to rest and get well I just HOPE I won't have to miss being able to go to the craft vendors when they open up next Friday morning I want to get there early and get a first pic at what they are selling that's the best time to go while most everyone else is at work. The parking isn't bad and you get first dibs on what you want. Well that's probably more then enough for today I don't want to over do it and wear myself out. plus my lungs are acheing for a hot steamy shower to loosen them and my sinuses up :) so Byes :)
