Hey Everyone,
I guess you've all been wondering how my Senior Prom went? And what surprizes J.R. had in store for us? And what our after prom activities were? Well here is the scoop.
I got my hair done at 2 it looked really good, and then Carrie came over and did my make up and she and my mom helped me get dressed. Then we took pictures, and headed over to downtown dayton where to my surprise mom and had a beautiful crissage waiting for me. It was very similar to the one I had at the Military Ball except the rose buds were smaller so there were 5 instead of 3. And there was some fishing wire hidden throughout it with black beads attached to it.With a framing of silver leaves around it. It was very beautiful.
Then we headed over to granny and papal's to show off my new hair do and crissage and how they went with my dress. Then I had mom and dad take some pics of me with granny and papal. After that we went up the road to my Aunt Vera's and Uncle Danny's house, but only my uncle was home so I modeled for him. He was very speechles..lol he finnaly got the wordds out " you're look so beautiful, Dana " *blushes* hehe
Then we headed out to Graysville to pick up Megan she and her family where very speechless when I came walking up in my sparkly dress with the sun shinning directly on me...lol. Then Megan and I took turns addmiring each others hair and make up etc. Then we had some pictures taken in front of her lil red car.
Then J.R. came out with our surprises...crissages for each of us! He gave Megan a beautiful red carnation one with red sequin ribbon that matched her dress perfectly. And for me he gave me a beautiful boquet of baby's breath with 5 lil baby pink carnations in it with a blackand silver ribbon and darker shade of pearly pink leaves. It was also very beautiful I didn't knwo wich one to wear! I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings ya know. So I kept the one mom and dad gave me on,since I already had it on lol. And I'm gona wear the one J.R. got for me to church tomorrow.
Then we headed to chatti where to Megan's and My surprise, they took us to Logan's RoadHouse for a meal. Logan's is one of my favorite places to eat, so that made me very happy. Megan who had only been there once in her life enjoyed the meal very much. Then we headed over to downtown Chatti where the Chattinooga Choo Choo, where the prom was being held in their imperial ball room.As we drove up we saw that they were renting horses and carrages with drives to give 30minute tours of down town cahtti.
Each carrage had a dog of some type harrnessed up in the drivers seat they were so cute that Megan and I decided that if we had enough money we would take a carrage tour. Then mom and dad parked we got out and we said a lil prayer before they turned us over to the prom for the night lol. Then Megan and I headed up the steps and my English Teacher from last year Mrs. Cannon came running to open the door for us and started going into a frenzy of " you too look so beautiful!" etcc...lol Then we went and signed up for our pictures and waited for J.R. and his girlfriend to arrive so we could have some group pictures. The picture background was a mixture of gray and white and the props were 2 sets of balloons one in front to the side and one at the opposite end toward the back.
Then we made our way toward the ball room, but first we had to tolerate some teachers taking pictures and stuff for year book and the prom website etc... Then we had to go through the "Magic Tunnel" wich was this tunnel they made useing braces,balloons,collorfull confettie, and lavander gossamer( a very thin and delacate decorative paper usualy used in plays).
When we went through we entered a world of A huge screen displaying music videos, millions of balloons all over the floor and some hovering above tables, lights and loud music, a huge buffett and a very small dance floor.... We chose a table at the back so we could see everything and still be near the exit door for when we chose to leave. We sat around and talked and greeted ppl we knew and listened to music and watched music videos. Then we went and got some punch and settled down for a long wait cause what we really wanted was to leave and have some fun...lol
Megan and I got very bored they weren't playing any music we liked, plus no one was talking to us much and no one was dancing so it got bored just sitting there and drinking punch so we decided to go on a horse and carrage ride. It cost us 40 bucks, but it was totally worth it. The driver, Seth, was very polite and the ride was tons of fun.His horse's name was Gus. I can't remember the dog's name it was something really weird, but he was a real sweat heart and wanted us to pet him and love on him durring our ride. Ppl from the sidewalks would wave at us and compliment our dresses and how we looked and stuff. We even had a car full of Chinese looking ppl pull up beside the carriage roll down their windows and start waving at us as if we were famous or something we couldn't understand what they were saying lol. The ride seemed to end to quickly and we had to go.
As soon as we got inside and found J.R. we left to go out to eat it was after 10 o'clock, but everything was closing! We went to several different resturants, but they were either closing or all ready closed. We finnaly got seats at O'Charles ( another of my favorite restuaunts) It was a delicious meal. Then we went driving around looking for something to do like bowling or something, but every where we went it was the same with the resturants everything was closed or closing it was so in furriating lol. We drove and drove and finnaly just went into a walmart and did a lil looking around and then we went into the arrcade in the store and wasted some quarters on rigged games lol.
After that we drove around some more looking for somthing to do, but invain so we finaly started to head home around 3 in the morning. We got back to Megan's around 4 and we went straight to bed leaving our hair up...lol I slept in till 10 woke up got dressed and took my hair down and counted 41 bobby pins in it lo. Then I saoked it with leavin conditioner, but that only lossened it up enough so it would fall down to my shoulders. Then I sat around quietly waiting for everyone else to get up.
Finnally Megan's mom got up and got everyone else up and we had breakfast. Then everyone left for work, but Megan and me so we had the house to ourselves till her dad came home and took us to the Pekking House ( a chinese resturaunt) for lunch. Then we went to the Mt. Market that they previously bought to show me around it and ask if maybe I'd like to work there this summer. Then we went back to Megan's and kind of fulled around and had fun till they took me home around 5 so they could meet up with her dad's brother.
When I got home I unpacked and and got things ready for the next day then I uploaded some prompictures that Megan and I took into my Album under my Prom and Military Ball Album. Then I took a nice hot shower, since I didn't take one this morning. And now it's 10:49 and I am going to bed! *hugs and muahs* Goood Night!
